Rock Analysis
- Routine core Analysis
Routine core analysis is the determination of generally, non-dynamic petrophysical properties that may be performed in a well completion time frame depending on the type and volume of analysis. This time frame may be from 24 hours to several weeks, depending on the amount of material to be analyzed, the type of analysis, and the permeability of the material. NP Logs provides basic routine core analysis and more specialized analyses useful in the determination of reservoir properties.
- Special Core Analysis
Our full range of special core analyses address the most critical issues in your reservoir. From capillary pressure and fluid flow properties to petrophysics and rock mechanics, we can characterize relative permeability, assess formation damage, and improve reservoir modeling. Our services also inform your well construction and production decisions to enable long-term production optimization and profitability. Our special core analysis team provides oil and gas, exploration and production customers with SCAL Core Evaluation services, going well beyond routine core analysis.
- Geological Analysis
When appraising hydrocarbon reservoirs, rock and fluid samples represent the ground truth. When subjected to rigorous testing at NP Logs Laboratories, these samples can accurately describe depositional environment, quantify reservoir quality, improve reservoir modeling and provide accurate reserve estimates. Armed with this insight, you can assess reservoir potential more confidently and more accurately – and with reduced risk. Using different methods like X-ray diffraction and thin sections, cores can be used for better understanding of reservoir geology

Fluid Analysis
- PVT Analysis
NP Logs offers a vast suite of PVT analysis for your reservoir fluid studies which is necessary to precisely determine fluid in place, recovery estimate and material balance calculations
- Asphaltene/Scale Analysis
